Love To ComPete is run 100% by volunteers - from the Tournament Director to those working under the tent, and everyone in between. The only way the tournament is able to function and be a success is through the kindness and generosity of all our volunteers. Even if it is just for a couple hours, the volunteers' time helps make the tournament a huge success.

The French family would be extremely grateful for the support of the community. This is also a great chance for high schoolers to add some community service time to their resumes. A description of each of the volunteer opportunities is below. Thank you!

Set-Up/Clean-Up: Set-Up is the early morning shift - helping set up the fields (goals and weight bags, corner flags, scoreboards), the different tents (registration, concession, referees), and general set-up of the complex. Clean-Up is the evening shift at the conclusion of the day's play - helping take down the fields (goals and weight bags, corner flags, scoreboards), the different tents (registration, concession, referees), and general clean-up of the complex. These are 1 hour shifts.

Tent Worker: The Tent Workers work the various stations under the tents - registration/check-in, concessions, raffles, etc. These are 2½ hour shifts.

Field Marshall: The Field Marshall is in charge of an individual field and is responsible for reporting scores, answering any questions from spectators/participants, monitoring behavior, reporting any incidents, etc. These are 2½ hour shifts.

Scorekeeper: The Scorekeeper keeps the score for all games on a particular field, using both a flip score (to keep the spectators/players aware of the score) and a paper copy (which will be turned in to the Field Marshall at the conclusion of the game for recording the results). These are 2½ hour shifts.
